Draft and pick
pre-gameEnemy mid picked a melee hero? You can punish him with 
Huskar, 
Monkey King or 
Shadow Fiend.
If your team has a
greedy carry, picking 
Templar Assassin or 
Sniper is not the best idea — look at active mids instead: 
Ember Spirit, 
Primal Beast, 
Queen of Pain, 
Pangolier.
Look at their supports and think: who will gank you, and where? Can they kill you at the runes?
